 Bruce Walpole, Founder of QualSafe Investigations, brings over two decades of expertise in safety and investigations. Renowned for his proactive, solution-driven approach, Bruce helps businesses address complex safety challenges with clarity, precision, and insight.

Bruce began his career with the Queensland Police, advancing to the rank of Detective Sergeant before transitioning to workplace safety at Workplace Health and Safety Queensland. As a Senior Investigator, he led high-profile cases across a range of industries — including one of Queensland’s first industrial manslaughter investigations.

His dedication to safety excellence earned him the role of Manager of the Investigation Team at the Electrical Safety Office, where he directed numerous complex investigations, many of which led to successful prosecutions. Bruce then brought his expertise to Australia’s largest renewable energy project — Snowy 2.0 — where he led the investigative function while also contributing to broader safety assurance activities on site.

Beyond investigations, Bruce has provided strategic safety advice, systems development, and compliance support — with clients including large government departments and leading organisations in the oil and gas sector. 

Holding a Graduate Certificate in Safety Leadership from Griffith University, Bruce applies the principles of the “new view” of safety to all aspects of his work — ensuring both rigorous compliance and forward-looking improvement.

Recognised as a leader in his field, Bruce has been a featured speaker at prestigious industry forums, including the National Heads of Workplace Authorities Investigators Conference and the Office of Industrial Relations Statewide Investigations Conference. 

His broad qualifications in safety, investigations, and auditing enable him to provide tailored support that strengthens both compliance and safety performance.
